I have been uncertain about whether or not to blog about this as it is really sad but I really want to share this with others.
A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this blog. I started reading about their sweet family just normal everyday ramblings. Their little girl Cora Paige got an ear infection and then a couple of unexplained black eyes. They took her into the doctor for the ear infections and mentioned the black eyes. Their doctor did a scan and sweet Cora had cancer. They were immediately rushed to the hospital and started treatment. Sadly, the cancer was too advanced and sweet Cora died only 2 weeks later.
As a mom with a child close in age to Cora Paige this breaks my heart in so many ways. I can't even imagine to begin to feel what this family is going though. What touches me most is their unwavering faith in God. While they are deeply saddened by the loss of their little girl they are also able to see how God is using them.
In lieu of flowers the family asked friends to donate to their church so that a playground could be built in honor of their daughter. Family, friends, and even strangers have set up an etsy store and are donating items in Cora's memory. 100% of all money made will go towards building the playground. So if you have a minute check out their blog and the etsy shop.
