Realization

Tonight while sitting on the couch staring at the once again messy living room it hit me that I haven't had a truly clean house in four years. My house has not been every room spotless clean since I had Lily. I remember back in my pre child days I would wake up on Saturday mornings get my house really clean in just a couple of hours and then lounge around the rest of the weekend reading, watching tv or whatever. HaHa, needless to say that hasn't happened in a while.

And, you know what, I am perfectly ok with that. I love my babies. I thank God everyday for giving them to me. I know I'll have a clean house again someday.

She makes me laugh.

The following conversation took place between Bug and I this morning.

Me: Bug, what do you want for breakfast?
Bug: I want those little square things, that have salt on them.
Me: I have no idea what you are talking about. What color are they?
Bug: You know those little square things, that are light brown and come in a white box. We bought them at Target.
Me: Crackers? You want crackers?
Bug: No, I don't want crackers. You are making me very mad. If you don't figure out what I am talking about I am going to be so mad.
Me: (going through everything in the cabinets and fridge)
Bug: Come on we will watch tv and they will come on there.

At this point I think my kid has lost it and proceed to try and call BigDaddy. After sitting there about 20 minutes a Cinnamon Toast Crunch commercial comes on.

Bug: That! That! That is what I am talking about momma. That is what I want.

I was laughing so hard at this point. Not only at our exchange but at the fact that she knew that a commercial would come on.

My baby is getting big.

We crossed one of those big milestones with Bug that makes a momma cry last night. She had her first sleepover with a friend. This is also the first time that she has spent the night with anyone other than Pop and Nana and my brother and sister in law.

I am not going to lie, I was a nervous wreck all day yesterday just thinking about it. She on the other hand was ready to go as soon as she woke up. Normally when she is going to stay at Nana and Pop's she tells me "Momma, I am going to miss you while I am gone.". So yesterday I asked her "Are you going to miss me while you are at Tori's?" and he response was "Nope, because I am going to be having too much fun playing.". LOL

I thought for sure that we would be getting a call about bed time saying that she wanted to come home, but we didn't. I am a little sad but a whole lot proud at the same time.

Now I am off to go take that nasty gestational diabetes sugar test. Yuck!

Not sure where to start.

I am not even sure where to start with this post. First I guess I can't believe that it is December 9th. Where the heck did this year go? It has went by so fast and I can't believe that in 2 months my baby will be 4. 4?!? Umm, how did that happen? I just had her yesterday. I can't believe that in just 4 short months that I will be a mom to two.

I really want to be a good blogger. I want to sit down everyday and recapture what happened that day and I really have no good excuse for why I don't. I just don't for some reason. Being a better blogger will definitely be on my list of New Year's resolutions. Bug has been so funny lately and I find my self saying "I really need to get out the video camera." or "I really should write that down somewhere." but I don't. And then two days later I have forgot what it was.

We found out that baby to be is a boy!! Big Daddy and I are over the moon excited about it. Bug on the other, umm, not so much. When the ultrasound tech announced that it was a boy she started crying and loudly proclaimed "I don't want a brother, I want a sister.". She got down in the floor was quite for a few minutes and then looked at Big Daddy with her little finger pointing and said "This is all your fault.". LOL

I haven't started buying anything and won't until it is almost time for him to get here. I am just weird like that. I almost feel like I am going to jinx it. This of course drives my mom insane. She wanted to go out and buy everything as soon as we announced we were pregnant. She did the same thing with Bug.

In other very exciting news I am getting a niece or nephew. My brother and sister in law are pregnant! They are due in June. I am over the moon happy for them. I am also excited that my baby will have a cousin just two months younger. I hope that they will become the best of friends.

Blah

You definitely do not want to come to our house right now, we all 3 have the freaking swine flu! Ugh!

Tuesday, Bug and I woke up with what I thought was just a cold by today mine had gotten some what worse and I thought it had turned into a sinus infection. So I decided to go to the Dr. and take Bug with me just to be on the safe side, I couldn't believe it when the Dr. came in in and said that we both had tested positive for the swine flu. We came home and told BigDaddy the verdict and decided that he should go and get checked and yep, he was positive too.

The best news...I can't take anything for it and just have to suffer through. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

You would never know that Bug has the flu because it hasn't slowed her down a bit. I just want to lay in the bed and she is wide open.

Big News

I totally have to get back into blogging everyday, because big things are happening in my family right now and I don't want to forget anything. Now for my big news...I am having another baby!!

We are super excited and Bug is really happy that she is going to be a big sister. Although she frequently tells my belly these days that she is mad at you baby brother (she has decided that it is a boy) for making mommy sick. LOL

I am 10 weeks right now and I am due April 9th.

Ahh

My baby is getting so big and it makes me so sad. She has informed me that she has to start going to school or me and daddy will go to jail if she doesn't. LOL I think that she got this from my parents while they were trying to convince her to go to preschool.

Saturday, I was watching my cousin's 2 month old and I was overwhelmed with having 2 kids and to top it off the baby was very cranky. Bug told me she had to potty and I told her that she would have to go by herself that I couldn't put the baby down. She pouted for a minute and then ran back to the bathroom. A few minutes later she comes back and says "I peed, wiped, flushed, put on my panties, and turned the light off. Are you proud of me?" She has never done that by herself before. I though that I was going to cry. LOL

I wish that I could just freeze time for a little while.

Wake Up Call

So, not a lot of people know that BigDaddy and I have been trying to get pregnant with number 2 since last June with no luck. We have been very discouraged but have said that it will happen when it is God's time for us.

Well today I think the big guy gave me a little reminder that he is still in control. Today I had my 3 year old and my cousin's 7 week old all day. Oh my!! I honestly do not think that I could handle two kids. I think that God also knows that.

He was so adorably cute and sweet, but it was a lot of work. Bug tested my patience to the max today. She was so super clingy and whiny today.

She has been asking daily for the last 3 or 4 months now for a baby "buddah" or baby sister and today she informed me that she did not want a baby anymore. LOL Maybe little miss priss realized that it wouldn't be all about her anymore.

She Makes My Heart Sing

Bug has a stuffed puppy that she made at Build A Bear a couple weeks ago that she has been carrying around everywhere. Today the place where they stitch it up came undone and the stuffing was coming out. So, I doing what any mom would do had to preform emergency surgery.

Bug was so happy that she looked at me and said "Happy Mother's Day"and gave me a huge hug. I was about it tears it was so sweet and so perfect. Moments like that are what makes it all worth while.

Day 2

Today was day 2 of my new lifestyle change. I am feeling great and very positive! I feel like I might actually be able to wear a pair of shorts this summer or maybe even a cute summer dress.
The diet pills are working ok. I'm not feeling jittery or anything and the are definitely curbing the cravings. I do have a bit of a headache but I think that this might just be caffeine withdrawals.

Now for some cute Bug news...She has started 1 day a week mom's day out on Mondays. So, Monday I pick her up from school and I am asking her all the standard questions. "Did you have a good day?" "Did you get in trouble?" etc when all of a sudden she looks at me and says "Momma, you are getting on my nerves." I couldn't help but to laugh because truth is she probably heard it from me.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Brrr! This week in Alabama we are having record breaking cold temps. The lows have been in the single digits and the highs have been below freezing. That is crazy! We are actually supposed to get snow tomorrow. Around my house we are all hoping that we get a lot of snow. My thinking is if we are going to have to endure these freezing cold temps then we should have the white stuff to go with it.

Wow!!

Wow, I am so embarrassed that I haven't updated my blog in 5 months. I honestly have no reason, other than I am lazy because I have been online everyday.

So, can you all believe that 2009 is almost over with? It has went by so fast! I have many hopes and goals for 2010 and I hope that it is going to be a great year for us.

Bug is doing great. She is getting so big and really starting to come out of her shell. She amazes me everyday.

I don't know!

That has been Bugs answer to everything for the last couple of days. It is driving me insane! It doesn't matter what I ask her the answer is "I don't know" with a little shrug of the shoulder. I really hope that this is just a stage that will only last for about a week.

In other cute news I sat her on the big potty tonight and she sat thinking for a minute and then said "Hmm tis potty to big for me" LOL. I told her that it would be ok just try and use it and she did.

I don't know what is up with her potty but every time I sit her on it the pee usually ends up going into the floor instead of the bowl. Call me lazy but I don't feel like cleaning up pee a hundred times a day.

Wow

I can't believe that it has been over two months since I have blogged. I swear it doesn't seem like that long. Time is just flying by like crazy.

Today I was thinking that I have to get back to blogging, because Bug is doing so many cute things right now that I want to remember forever and that I want her to be able to read about one day.

Nothing really has happened over the last two months. We have just been hanging out and enjoying summer. Bug is loving the pool this year. Last year she was to small so we pretty much stayed inside all summer. I love that I am able to get a little tan this year.

We have been potty training for the last week and she is totally kicking butt at it. She has even been taking two hour naps and waking up dry. Woot! I can think of so many other ways to spend that diaper money.

Ironic

Isn't it ironic that a child that everybody calls Bug is absolutely scared to death of bugs? When she sees a bug she starts screaming bloody murder, climbing into the nearest lap she can find, and buries her face. It really is a hilarious sight to see. In fact it is one of those things that we have made sure to capture on video.

She is at Nana's and Pop's tonight. She wanted to go water flowers and eat as she says "ice keen cone". They spoil her rotten.

JuJu

See that sippy cup in that picture? That is JuJu, Bug's lovey. Yes, she named it JuJu. Pretty cute, huh? I'm not exactly sure when this attachment started but I would say around 13 months. This is the only sippy cup that she will take, thank goodness that she isn't color specific. We have to have this cup with us at all times. She will not take a nap or go to sleep at night with out it. We can not leave the house with out it. She sings to it, and gives it kisses, and just loves on it.

The bad thing about this cup is that the nipple part is very soft silicone. This is bad for a 2 year old with teeth. I can't tell you how many times this thing has leaked in the bed because she has bit a hole in the nipple. A nipple usually last us a couple of days and then we have to replace it. We have tried giving her the hard spout cups and she hands them right back and tells us that it's broke. LOL

I'm not sure how we will ever break her of this. She really loves her JuJu.

Boring

I don't really have anything to post about. We haven't done anything exciting and nothings happened. Not that I'm complaining, no news is good news. We have been pretty much living outside because the weather has been so nice. Bug is definitely going to be an outdoors girl. She loves playing in the dirt.

I am starting to potty train Bug today. I hope that it goes well and that she is easy to train. If anyone has any tips or advice let me know.

Weigh In Wednesday

Ok, it's time for my first weigh in. I was so excited to get up and weigh this morning. I asked Bug if I lost any weight and she said 1 pound. BigDaddy said 30lbs ha ha I wish. I think he was just trying to stay out of trouble.

Anyway, so today's weigh in I weighed 165. WooHoo I lost 3 lbs! That's exciting to me.

Oh my

I sure have missed you all. I'm not even sure where to begin. The last couple weeks have been crazy, maybe I should just list it all out.

• We had Bug's birthday party. It went ok. Not as many people showed up as I would have liked. Next year we definitely will not be paying that much to rent a place. I just can't justify the cost when she will be just as happy playing at the park.

• I finished my CNA course and got a huge eye opening experience when I went to get a job. Not trying to sound spoiled here but they only wanted to pay me $8.50 and hour to wipe butts. Umm, yeah thanks, but no thanks. Not to mention we would have to put Bug in daycare so after paying taxes, daycare, and gas I would probably bring home around $50 a week. Yeah, so not leaving my baby with a stranger all day for $50.00.

• So thanks to my job interview I will be a perfect straight A student so that I can become an RN. I'm also considering respiratory therapy to. I'm not sure which yet. (I know I'm a big kid now, I need to make up my mind.)

• We live in my parents old mobile home which isn't the most beautiful thing but it's in decent shape and the best part is that it is paid for. This has allowed me to stay home with Bug, get lots of bills paid off, and go back to school. Well last week the breaker box caught on fire and we were pretty sure that we were going to have to tear down the house and build. Luckily, after staying with my parents for a week we got everything fixed. We are eventually going to build a house, we're just not quite ready yet. We would like to get BigDaddy's truck paid off and me out of school.

Ok, I think that sums up most of the past two weeks. I promise to try and blog faithfully everyday.

Happy Birthday, Bug!

Happy birthday sweet girl! I can't believe that my baby is 2 already. It honestly seems like I was just having her. These last 2 years have just flown by. I am more and more in love with her everyday.

On another note, she is finally starting to feel better. Yay! Hopefully, she will be 100% for her party on Sunday.
